My purpose in life is to love and encourage people. Having the opportunity to help my clients envision their happiness (far beyond just a number on a scale), brings me a joy that I have never known. Celebrating their successes, comforting them through their obstacles, and learning more about the Ideal Protein (IP) protocol, nutrition, and the human body reaffirms that I am doing what I was made for. Let’s get this started and I will be there for you every step of the way.
Connection to Nutrition, Health, and Fitness
In 1995, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease Lymphoma. I was blessed to be pronounced cured the following year and have not had a relapse. Without a doubt, I was saved for a purpose. Over the years, I have been fascinated with the body and have set my mind to learn what I can about nutrition, health, and fitness from doctors, college, the internet, and now the IP protocol. The plethora of knowledge and discoveries about the human body is vast and I will be a life-long learner in order to bring this information to my clients as well as improving my own life.
Understanding now how sugar and insulin affect the body, I can see why my weight has been such a challenge for me. I have always been partial to consuming protein over carbohydrates. Good to know I was already on the right track. It was the hidden carbohydrates that were keeping me in the obesity trap. I have learned so much about discovering what foods become sugar in our blood in great part due to the Ideal Protein protocol. Education, determination, and a creative approach to cooking are essential to sculpting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Why Ideal Protein (IP)?
With exercise and eating more regularly and strategically, I was able to lose 65 lbs. in a little over a years time. I reversed my pre-diabetes and felt like a new woman. My goal has been to lose 100 lbs. However, I hit a seemingly impenetrable plateau that I could not break through, even with medication. Since beginning Ideal Protein, I am amazed at what is happening to my body. I have been off my medication for a few months and feel great, most of my clothing no longer fits me (can we say shopping!) and I have the strength and energy to be more active than ever before. Due to results thus far, I have no doubt that I will accomplish my goal and become my “Ideal” self!
